Week 8 saw everyone play someone for the second time. The eastern division saw some separation from the top and the bottom while the west has Matthew at the top and everyone else at 4-4. Matthew has now taken over the one seed from Grayson but both have the same record and still hold the bye week in the playoffs. The matchup of the week, looking at it after, was definitely between Noah D. and Landon. Landon only squeaking out his win by .5 points after kmet gave him a scare on Sunday night. The highest team score of the week was Grant with 151.62 points but this doesn’t top Noah R.’s top week crown of 167.34. Only one notable injury is Cal losing Kirk Cousins for the rest of the year.
For week 9, after the week 8 games of divisional opponents we jump back to non divisional opponents this week. For the west, this is a good thing, but for the east not so much. So far this year the west has dominated the east. The east has a combined 4 wins in their 12 total matchups this year against the west and they look to flip that around. While the west seems to be happy as can be. Also on the agenda is a lot of bye weeks, the Lions, Jags, 49ers and Broncos are all on bye this week. This brings a hit to a lot of teams. Also on bye this week are Jelly and Braycuz’s fantasy rosters (these are self proclaimed) as they look to have lopsided wins against injury and bye week riddled teams. (Grayson could also be in here but he is not getting cocky). As a matter of fact there is no MOTW as most of the games seem to be a little lopsided. The league almost saw a giant shakeup this week in a massive trade between Baud and Matthew. The trade was Ekeler and Zay Flowers to Matthew for Aaron Jones, Kareem Hunt, and K9 to Baud. This trade was quickly vetoed by at least five members of the league (who shall remain anonymous). The league did not really want Matthew to have a better team. The commissioner had to step in and make a change here. The new amount of vetoes required is 7. This is up from a ½ to a ⅔ ish amount of the league is needed to veto. The commish recommended sending the trade through again to see what happens but maybe some cold feet got involved and the trade has not seen the light of day again.

Notes:
This is a blowout on the paper. I asked Jackson his thoughts on the matchup, this guy thought he was on bye week given the projections. Currently on Wednesday night Noah does not have a runningback on the roster to fill Mcafferey’s spot as he is on bye week. Like seriously Noah wtf are we doing without a third running back on the team, now you are stuck playing Rico Dowdle or somebody this week. With Christian Kirk also on bye Noah is down bad this week. Noah even responded with “all hope is lost” after being asked about his season. This looks like Jelly moving to 5-4 and Noah down to a sad 2-7 unless he can make a miracle happen.
Cal vs. Grayson
Cal (4-4) | Grayson (6-2)
Projected Points | 91.3 | 119.2 |
ESPN Odds to Win | 39% | 61% |
H2H Record | 2-0 | 0-2 |
Points For | 957.26 | 987.2 |
Points Against | 985.4 | 858.1 |
Notes:
Similar to Jackson and Noah D. this matchup also does not look to be close. Cal is suffering bye weeks and injuries with Kirk out for the season and Amon-Ra and ETN on bye this week. It is the battle of ravens RB’s but Gus Edwards was heard saying he is “expecting a big load this weekend.” This is similar to how Maya should be expecting a big load from Grayson after he gets the win. Cal did not have much to say on the matchup he said, “hold up taking a test” I gave him the benefit of the doubt but this dumbass only pulled a 60 percent, we gotta be better Cal.
Brayden vs. Trever
Brayden (5-3) | Trever (4-4)
Projected Points | 129.0 | 106.1 |
ESPN Odds to Win | 60% | 40% |
H2H Record | 0-2 | 2-0 |
Points For | 916.6 | 904.6 |
Points Against | 860.3 | 922.3 |
Notes:
This matchup could get interesting. Trever is possibly playing Fournette with Gibbs on bye this week. He was heard saying, “the players I i play better perform and Fournette finna get into the end zone.” Godspeed Trev because according to my screen he is still a free agent. Brayden did not seem to worried about the matchup, he had a similar reply to Jelly, “I’m on Bye.” we will see if that cockiness pays off or bites him in the ass.
Landon vs. Noah R.
Landon (5-3) | Noah R. (4-4)
Projected Points | 112.1 | 126.0 |
ESPN Odds to Win | 56% | 44% |
H2H Record | 2-1 | 1-2 |
Points For | 820.48 | 1086.0 |
Points Against | 875.7 | 1000.1 |
Notes:
Landon continues to win ugly, but they always say its better to win ugly than lose pretty, regardless Landon had to say, “Got a tough opponent in Noah this week I’ll give him his respect. I’m glad the way my boys bounced back last week after the pitiful performance looking to keep that momentum going with baker leading the helm this week”. Noah’s season has been the opposite of Landon’s as he has lost ‘pretty’ multiple times, despite his win over the Buffet boys due to Davante running cardio with Jimmy G. Noah did not hold back when talking about Landon, “This guy fucking stinks! He keeps trading but it doesn’t seem to be doing anything for his team, I anticipate a rude awakening for the big man this week, he cant hide in the McDonald’s Play Place that is the Eastern Conference any longer.”
Hunter vs. Grant
Hunter (1-7) | Grant (4-4)
Projected Points | 113.7 | 122.1 |
ESPN Odds to Win | 47% | 53% |
H2H Record | 4-2 | 2-4 |
Points For | 821.7 | 956.0 |
Points Against | 913.9 | 906.1 |
Notes:
If we look back at week 4, both of these teams were sitting in the dungeon at 0-4, so much can change in just four weeks, as Grant has shot into the playoff picture with four straight wins and Hunter is still sitting in his filth at the bottom, losing 3 of the last 4. A lot of the league is seeing this as a Grant win, but the projections might surprise you. Hunter has projections not that far off of Grant’s team. Grant himself is not underestimating his 1-7 opponent either. He said, “ the loss of both my TE’s on bye had me a little skeptical. But I still believe I have the playmakers to get a narrow win.” Hunter’s 1-7 record seems to be making him a little hostile, he came out saying, “Fuck Grant, beat him last year in the playoffs and expect the same result.” If Hunter can sneak out a win and bite Grant’s ankles he can stop the freight train and Grant is running with 4 straight wins.
Baud vs. Matthew
Baud (3-5) | Matthew (6-2)
Projected Points | 112.7 | 127.7 |
ESPN Odds to Win | 56% | 44% |
H2H Record | 0-2 | 2-0 |
Points For | 838.0 | 999.0 |
Points Against | 924.9 | 993.7 |
Notes:
These two were involved in a league changing trade this week that was quickly vetoed, despite the rules being changed to help it go through, the trade is still not done. Baud seems to be manifesting a win this week with his team name 4-5, this is a bold hope for him and his team, but they always say, “Shoot for the Moon. Even if you miss, you’ll land among the stars.” Which is precisely Baud’s mentality. He knows he is up against a tough opponent and is leaning on Olave this week against the bears. What a sac religious piece of shit he is for rooting against the bears. Matthew is still shaken up about the vetoed trade and is disappointed in the league, he wants to go on a terror to piss everyone off like they did to him. He plans on dominating from this week on to try and show his dominance.
