What a week for the league. A lot of stuff went down that has altered the playoff picture. First things first, Noah Ruch clinched the top of the West and one of the bye weeks in the playoffs. Meanwhile, Grayson has officially clinched his spot in the playoffs and has overtaken Brayden as the bye week holder. However , this is not clinched and it comes down to how week 14 plays out. For now, Brayden is the 3 seed. As for the rest of the playoffs, Matthew lost again so he is now the 6 seed. Jackson had a resounding win with a lot of points scored and has moved up into the playoff picture and holds the 5 seed. Cal won again also and moved up into the 4 seed spot. Landon got himself another win this week and is on the outside looking in based on points scored. Trever lost this week and also is on the outside, he needs a lot to go his way to get in. As for eliminations, Grant, Noah D, and Jack Baud join Hunter as being in the losers bracket. Maybe these guys want to start training a bit of cardio before winter break. The playoffs are shaping up to be something special

Week 14:
Now lets talk this week, the matchups are as given.
Trever vs Grayson
Landon vs Matthew
Brayden vs Grant
Noah D. vs Noah R.
Hunter vs Cal
Baud vs Jackson
First off, If Grayson wins, he probably gets the bye week from the east division. Brayden would have to win and outscore him by 61 to overtake him. With a loss, and a Brayden win, Braycuz gets it. If both lose, Grayson probably holds onto it. This information is not nearly as important as the rest though.
For the people that are already in the playoff scene that have not clinched (Cal, Jackson, and Matthew), it is very simple, win and you are in. This goes the same for Landon as he plays Matthew and a win puts him in and possibly Matthew out. If Landon loses, he is probably out because of his points scored, or lack thereof. If either of the three teams lose, it gets really interesting based on points scored, so interesting that I tried to type it out but got confused doing it. Now for Trever, he has to win, a loss eliminates him. If he does win, he has to put up a bunch of points to catch up in the points scored race, and hope for losses by Cal and Jackson (and for them to not score that much). The ultimate doomsday scenario, is a Trever win, Cal loss, Matthew loss/Landon win, and a Jackson loss. This puts 4 teams at 7-7 with only two playoff spots available. It will come down to points for and they are all withing 50 of each other with Jackson and Cal currently in the lead.

Matthew vs. Landon **FFFL MOTW***
This is the matchup of the week for 2 main reasons. First, the rivalry. Matthew and Landon called each other out at the beginning of the season and both want to win this matchup. Landon said for like the 5th straight time in a row, “Win.” I thought maybe he would spice things up but the second most points for in the league kept it mundane. Matthew on the other hand started taking shots early, with a nice finsta post about the matchup. In the caption he claimed he could not want it any other way, but I am sure he would much rather be clinched and have a bye. From what I have heard from an anonymous source, the winner of this matchup gets to have the Basile’s, both of them. The second reason is the playoff implications. Winner of this matchup gets a playoff spot. If Landon wins, however, Matthew can still get in with enough points scored and losses by either Cal or Jackson. What would make this matchup even more awesome is a tie, then shit could get crazy interesting.

Cal vs. Hunter
Cal is currently holding onto his playoff spot but a win secures it. He has some bye week trouble somehow though so not his best lineup is getting put out there. Hunter is looking to play the spoiler as he heads into the bottom of the losers bracket next week. This rivalry runs deep, too. Not long ago was Cal on the brink of beating Hunter’s ass. Hunter said he has never been afraid of that “munchkin” and there is no amount of steel he cannot break.

Jack vs. Jackson The “Jack Game”
Interesting matchup between the two Jack’s here. One playing with nothing to lose and the other playing with lots of playoffs implications on the line. Jack Buad claims that Jackson will feel pain this week, Jack hasn’t really made any team feel pain this year but maybe this is the week. While Jackson isn’t 100 percent eliminated with a loss, a win secures him a spot. Jackson did not have much to say about this matchup and does not seem to worried about Jack (no one has been worried the entire year playing Baud). He says his boys with go do their thing, and the A-Train ain’t stopping. For Baud to win this matchup, he is going to have to derail that train, let’s see if he can do it.

Noah vs Noah The “Noah Game”
Another same name matchup here. Noah is playing with pride now, he has already locked in his postseason fate and this game really means nothing. Meanwhile, Noah is playing with a lot on the line. A monster amount of points scored this year and the results have just not been there. A tough break for Noah. It is honestly crazy to only have 2 rb’s on the roster but Noah managed the most points for with only Monty and Mostert (I am not counting Algeier as a RB, drop that man). Noah on the other hand has Mcafferey at RB this week, yup that is it. He damn near counts as 2 running backs though. Noah has a chance to secure the 1 seed in the playoffs with a win, and Noah is still in the losers bracket. Just a pretty meaningless matchup here.

Brayden vs. Grant
This is another matchup with very little on the line. Brayden has already clinched the playoffs and Grant is already eliminated from the playoffs. Brayden needs a win and a Grayson loss to get the bye week, or outscore Grayson by 63 if they both win. Brayden had no thoughts on the matchup and could care less about it. Grant felt the same way, no one cares about this matchup.

Grayson vs. Trever
Grayson in this matchup is playing to try and secure a bye week in the playoffs, and a win should get it done. He is aware of how his team matches up week one of the playoffs and wants to let them get some rest heading into the postseason. Trever on the other hand has a lot more going on. Trever needs a win here to have any chance at making the playoffs. He currently is the 8 seed. With a win, he needs a Jackson or Cal loss as well. If Matthew loses, Trever still needs a Jackson or Cal loss. Trever is probably hoping for the doomsday scenario of Cal, Jackson, and Matthew losses so he can get in on points scored. He is behind in that race too so he needs to score a lot of points this week, which his team looks primed to do with JJettas back. Trever even saying “himothy is back, so I am back.” Let us see if enough can go right for him this week and he can sneak in the backdoor of the playoffs.
