Week 4 Recap:
This past week saw a lot of excitement across the FFFL, multiple trades and exciting matchups went down. Another trade between Trever and Baud created shockwaves, as Baud acquired Pollard and Bowers in exchange for sending Ford, Shakir, and Steele to Trever. While this is most definitely a fleece, it makes up for the fact that earlier this season Baud was fleeced in the CMC trade. Matthew also is looking to turn his torrid season around by benching Mahomes, trading Tee for Jordan Love with Cal. Since the last website post, Grayson and Noah R. have turned their seasons around, both starting out with two losses they have both won two straight to be right back in the mix. The same cannot be said about Trever, who is 0-4 and seems to be selling his only good players. Matthew’s team has imploded also with Mahomes struggling and Mark Andrews playing Left Left Tackle. Jackson’s team is 4-0, with the third most PF just barely edging Hunter by 0.36 in his recent victory, while Grant leads the league in PF with a strong 3-1 record, his only loss coming this past week in a shootout at the hands of Derrick “Big Dick” Henry and Grayson “3 inches is enough” Gonski. Brayden and Landon are holding shit down at 3-1, while Hunter and Cal are getting by at 2-2. Noah D. and Baud are not looking hot record wise, but their rosters show somethings to be excited about. The Noah’s are behind in record wise when compared to the Jack’s, (that is Drake and Baud vs Domagalski and Ruch) as the Jack’s have a 5-3 record compared to 3-5 from the Noah’s. Scoring has still be down around the league, and now that the bye week has hit, projections will be down for everyone. Now the interdivisional games begin, along with the onset of all bye weeks.

Week 5 Preview:
****FFFL MOTW****
Brayden (3-1) | Jackson (4-0)
Projected Points | 98.8 | 104.8 |
ESPN Odds to Win | 47% | 53% |
H2H Record | 2-1 | 1-2 |
Points For | 479.3 | 505.78 |
Points Against | 405.66 | 416.68 |
Notes: This looks to be a very exciting matchup based on the records. Jackson looks like the consistent powerhouse he has been for the past three years, the only franchise to go to the playoffs every year since this leagues inception, although he has never been able to capture the crown. Brayden has also been successful this year, and this will be a matchup of the best of the east battling the best of the west. Neither has set their final lineups, as of writing this, Brayden is missing a kicker, and Jackson a tight end. Thats not the only end thats tight when things relate to Jackson …. Pivotal matchup in this one, I hope it delivers the fireworks that it seems to promise.
Grant (3-1) | Landon (3-1)
Projected Points | 117.3 | 92.7 |
ESPN Odds to Win | 62% | 38% |
H2H Record | 2-1 | 1-2 |
Points For | 531.08 | 480.48 |
Points Against | 491.78 | 468.64 |
Notes: If we could have two MOTWs, we would with this one. Another marquis matchup between two powerhouses in Grant and Landon. Landon seems to be gearing up for this one by bombing all of his FAAB on Dontayvion Wicks, (shoutout Baud for dropping him lol). Meanwhile Grant has not made any major waiver wire or trade moves. Despite this, his team looks as good as it gets, with the most points through four weeks. If Jayden Daniels can continue his success, the sky is the limit for his team. However, the Philadelphia bye week his Grant at a bad time, Saquon is a pivotal piece, especially in a matchup as big as this. For Landon, his key piece, Malik Nabers, suffered a concussion last Thursday, hopefully he can return in time to help his cause.
Cal (2-2) | Grayson (2-2)
Projected Points | 106.7 | 123.9 |
ESPN Odds to Win | 42% | 58% |
H2H Record | 4-0 | 0-4 |
Points For | 473.7 | 519.44 |
Points Against | 530.22 | 480.98 |
Notes: For these two teams, this isn’t about wins and losses, this is about putting food on the table. I dub this the “oldhead unc bowl”, not because either of these players is particularly older than anyone, but due to them both having legitimate jobs and their overall oldhead auras. I don’t need to say much about their teams, they are solid and Grayson is rolling. Aaron Jones and Derrick Henry are two RBs turning back the clock to their younger days, and having fantastic seasons. Rashid Shaheed continues to be a contributing factor in Cals lineup, while the BRob strategy is seemingly goated for Gonski, reminiscent of the JWilliams strategy first pioneering by BCuz last year but better.
Noah R. (2-2) | Hunter (2-2)
Projected Points | 110.8 | 122.6 |
ESPN Odds to Win | 45% | 55% |
H2H Record | 2-1 | 1-2 |
Points For | 434.14 | 427.3 |
Points Against | 428.54 | 433.74 |
Notes: For this matchup, between Noah and Hunter, both teams are slightly affected by injuries and byes, with Noah’s top two WRs down this week in Adams and St. Brown, while Hunter’s wr 2, Devonta Smith, is on bye. Noah’s hoping the Cincinnati running game will take over, because the Burrow/Chase stack is not one to be reckoned with, and he has Zack Moss in the RB2 spot. Hunter is hoping for a big return from Joe Mixon, but still has not practiced and it is Thursday. Looks like he may be turning to Cam Akers once again. Despite these injuries, I believe this will be a good clean fight to start the inter divisional schedule.
Baud (1-3) | Matthew (1-3)
Projected Points | 102.2 | 118.2 |
ESPN Odds to Win | 41% | 59% |
H2H Record | 1-2 | 2-1 |
Points For | 382.12 | 400.46 |
Points Against | 459.24 | 427.74 |
Notes: I don’t think either of these guys will ever be happy with their teams. They are constantly asking for any trade, and scavenger on the waiver wire, just to be 1-3. Matthew drafted both Andrews and Likely, just for them to do jack shit. Baud, on the other hand, has three running backs that are not playing, in Pollard, CMC, and Pacheco, the latter two being on IR for an extended period of time. Despite fleecing Trever, baud’s trade does not make much sense, as he still has McBride on the bench, who looks to be a top 5 tight end ROS. For Matthew, his team looks very different than it did week 1, as he now has Love and Kraft starting in the place of Mahomes and Andrews. This is a battle of two dysfunctional teams, who knows who will win.
****FFFL Poop Matchup of the Week****
Trever (0-4) | Noah D. (1-3)
Projected Points | 111.3 | 119.9 |
ESPN Odds to Win | 46% | 54% |
H2H Record | 2-3 | 3-2 |
Points For | 362.46 | 445.68 |
Points Against | 447.42 | 451.3 |
Notes: I’m sorry to Noah, the Poop Matchup of the Week is not your fault, it is Trever’s. This will end up being Trever’s matchup every time. Nobody knows what DCIAC means, but it probably isn’t good. Not much to be optimistic for during this one, except Noah’s team (basically the 49ers) has a high projection even with JT’s injury.
