To start, Grayson and I would like to thank all league members for a resounding welcome to the weekly reports, we hope to be consistent with our content moving forward. With that being said, I think we get past the yapping and get down to the nitty gritty. We escaped week 6 with less injuries than the previous week, but still some heartbreakers nonetheless, as we saw Justin Fields leaving his week 6 matchup against Minnesota with a hand injury, Kyren Williams had his week cut short also with an ankle sprain. Trever’s team continues to see red as the injuries stack up. We hope for a healthy and fruitful season from here on out. This week has the Bengals, Cowboys, Jets, Titans, Texans, and Panthers on their bye. Some sources have called this the ‘bye-pocalypse’, but in my opinion, this is where great managers truly succeed, and simply good managers fall behind. This may contribute to a lower scoring projection all around, however, I am starting to doubt the true accuracy of these ‘projected points’ as last week was predicted to have an all around high score, but fell flat, seeing only 2 squads score above 120 points.

Week 6 gave Grayson an opportunity to separate himself from the pack with a win over Landon, however, he came up short in a battle against an opponent with the least points-for up to this point in the season. Matthew, Brayden, and Landon are challenging him for the lead spot as all teams have a record of 4-2, with now only their total points separating them. 6 out of the remaining 7 teams have a record of 3-3 or 2-4, while Hunter is in lonely last place, despite winning his first game in week 6 against Baud.

Notes:

Two heavy hitters in the league clash in this matchup. The two highest points for. Both coming off a loss, looking to get the season back onto the right track. After talking to Grayson he said his team, “Simply has to be better, we cannot step out on the field and do what we did last week, it was embarrassing.” His team takes a hit with Fields going down for at least this week. Russ being at the helm is a recipe for disaster, but hopefully Russ goes back to the glory days and doesn’t follow the recipe so he can cook. When discussing the state of his roster with Matthew, Noah said, “I don’t think I’ll need an RB1 to beat this scrub.” According to his waiver wire actions, that is simply not true. He spent $28 to acquire Zach Evans when nobody else put any amount on him. This is the price of losing David MontFeastery.

Trever (3-3) vs Hunter (1-5)

Notes:

This is a matchup that looks to bring absolutely zero fireworks. Trevor is currently projected under 100 points, wtf happened. Hunter is coming into the week with 3 starters on bye (TP, Garret Wilson, and Nico Collins). This puts a damper onto an already struggling roster. However he does feel confident after looking at T Funko Pop’s roster and he claims he doesn’t think he would want to play anyone else. Trever is on a skid right now, losing three straight after the strong start to the season, JJettas on IR, Kyren hurt, and Thielen on bye will be tough to overcome. He has been “down in the dumps recently.” He says he has “0 confidence going into this week.” However you know what they say, any given Sunday something crazy can happen. Hopefully this matchup brings some unforeseen juice and isn’t a double digi matchup.

Brayden (4-2) vs Matthew (4-2)

Notes:

Matthew and Braycuz have emerged as two of the best teams in the league this year. Should be a fantastic matchup. Brayden’s fantasy team is on the road again for the 6th time this year and Matthew looks to take advantage of that. Matthew claims this home game will give him the slight advantage to move to 5-2. Matthew ended his statement asking the commish about the price of Tyreek, looking to add playmakers to his roster.  Brayden on the other hand does not give a single fuck about road games. He wants to “rip his fucking heart out” this week. Matthew is projected the most points this week with 131.5, so good luck to Brayden.

Cal (3-3) vs Noah D. (2-4)

Notes:

When Cal was asked how he felt about the matchup his reply was, “Holdup I’m fuckin working.” I do not know if that lack of focus can propel him to a win this week. However, for the first time in league history Cal had a name change from the classic Cal Melvin to Buffet. Wtf does it mean? Absolutely no one knows. Meanwhile, Noah is confident here, claiming “Going up against last years loser, I really don’t have any concerns, he will probably drop 80.” 80 is almost enough however because Noah dropped a whopping 85.22 last week. This matchup has 102-90 written all over it.

Jackson (3-3) vs Landon (4-2)

Jackson Landon

ESPN Odds to Win56%44%
H2H Record2-00-2
Points For686.6626.6
Points Against752.9632.4

Notes:

First off, shoutout Jackson, the only member of the league to wish the commish well and hope that the commish’s voice comes back. That being said Jackson’s team is a freight train right now, three wins in a row and does not look to be slowing down. He claims Landon is in for a treat this week, we shall see. Landon on the other hand is fraudulent, least points scored in the league but is 4-2. He said his guys need to step up with big dick Henry on bye this week. With T-Law also a little banged up, hopefully he is ready to go by Thursday. T-law being out would hurt very much. Hopefully for Landon his beat up team can derail the freight train and find a big win.

Grant (2-4) vs Baud (3-3)

Grant Baud
Projected Points117.9112.9
ESPN Odds to Win51%49%
H2H Record3-11-3
Points For693.4660.8
Points Against717.6677.9

Notes:

Baud was quick and simple when asked about his matchup this week, “I need a te, rb, and kicker. So it is going to be tuff ngl.” Not the confidence you want from your team manager going into the week. Grant on the other hand is the complete opposite. He is currently on a roll with a two game win streak. Ja’Marr Chase is on bye which will not help him this week. He anticipates big games from Jordan Love and Christian Watson this week to make up for Chase’s absence. Grant believes that as long as Ekeler doesn’t score 40 he will win. Let’s see if Grant can keep pushing to get into playoff contention after starting 0-4.
